In 2016, I spent more than 100 days in ICU. On my first night, every ventilator was occupied, so I was manually bagged for hours.
A stranger shared my need in a WhatsApp group. Someone running a private ICU heard about it and lent us a ventilator for free. That act of urgency and presence became the beginning of this story.
ON THIS ROCK — THE PETROS FILM
“You are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
Petros is the Greek word for Peter. Jesus renamed him after a revelation, then handed him the responsibilities. “On this rock” is not an instruction to find a comfortable place and stay there. It means go where the darkness is, because that is where light is needed. For us, that place is the ICU.
